BSHP and BCC Marketing event to showcase BSHP Over 55’s accommodation in the City
As a city, Birmingham City Council and the RP sector make up roughly 100,000 homes all over Birmingham. The Housing Strategy 2023-2028 highlights the need to develop collaborative pathways and make strategic decisions to support the city to make better use of the stock portfolio available.
Over the course of the last 12 months, as part of a Best Use of Stock Project in the city, BSHP and BCC have been working closely on a pilot project and referral pathway for Over 55’s into accommodation which may be better suited to their needs.
BSHP have held a number of open days on site at their services to discuss what sheltered housing for Over 55’s looks like at our member organisations, and more recently we have held a promotional event at Birmingham City Council accommodation.
It was great to spend the day with some of our BSHP members showcasing our services for older people to Birmingham city council tenants. It was also a great opportunity for our member organisations to link in, and discuss ways of working collaboratively!
