Rt Hon Anna Turley MP visits Bournville
Rt Hon Anna Turley MP – Cabinet Office Minister – has visited Bournville, meeting with Bournville Village Trust, Mondelēz International and community members.
Minister Turley spent time meeting with Pete Richmond (Chief Executive of Bournville Village Trust), Arthur Tsang (Director of Communities), Caroline Cadbury (Chair of Trustees) and community members and leaders.
Discussions ranged from devolution and community leadership in Bournville to the flagship re-imaging of place project, Celebration Bournville.
The Minister also toured Mondelēz International’s Consumer Research Centre before travelling to the city centre to mark the launch of the Forward Institute.
Pete Richmond, Chief Executive of Bournville Village Trust, said: “It was a real pleasure to welcome Minister Anna Turley to Bournville. I was especially pleased that she was able to meet some of the community members who are helping to steer the Celebration Bournville project. Devolution and community leadership is something we are proud of and we promote and support it across all the neighbourhoods we work in. It’s one of the reasons Bournville continues to thrive as one of Birmingham’s most successful mixed communities.”
